Why should you and I get involved in 40 Days for Life, a peaceful, public prayer vigil asking God to end abortion? With two days left, isn’t it too late anyway?
If you knew what was being thrown away in our local trash dumpsters, would you take an hour today to pray outside the WomanCare abortion clinic,at 840 East Mount Hope, west of Pennsylvania?
Here is a photo of what is tossed out on a typical abortion day.
The abortion pill RU-486, a dangerous synthetic steroid known as mifepristone combined with the drug pictured above, Misoprostol, kills the unborn child. This combination of drugs is used to start labor and induce abortions up to seven weeks gestation of the pre-born baby….
…and it is the growing alternative to surgical abortions. Many women experience heavy bleeding for up to 13 or more days , after using this drug, requiring medical attention. In 2014, according to Right to Life of Michigan, 6,935 chemical abortions were reported, up from 5,103 in 2013…
… accounting for 25 percent of all reported abortions in Michigan.
Up to six of Theodore Roumell’s weekly appointments, every Monday and Wednesday, are chemical abortions.
RTL says: “The Population Council holds the rights to mifepristone in the U.S. and asserts that is this drug is taken within 49 days since the beginning of a woman’s last menstrual cycle, the embryo would only be one-fifth of an inch, “about the size of an aspirin tablet.” The Council fails to mention that the embryo’s heart has begun to beat at 35 days of pregnancy (21 days after fertilization); the brain, spinal cord and nervous system are established at 42 days; and by day 49 tiny nostrils are visible and the baby’s hands and feet are beginning to take shape. Read more about the effects of popping this dangerous abortion pill.
Please, join Courtney and Cole Martineau, who have prayed every Wednesday during this most recent 40 Days for Life campaign, asking God to end abortion. It’s not too late to join in this life-saving, international campaign happening in 307 cities worldwide. We are praying for Theodore Roumell by name, that God would convert his heart, so that he would walk away from doing abortions.
Your prayers make a difference. Get involved before the campaign is over! Go to this website and register for updates on this and future campaigns, https://40daysforlife.com/local-campaigns/lansing/.
