Spiritual transformation in the aftermath of abortion
The newly formed New Life Center – Rachel’s Vineyard team hosted its first weekend of post-abortion hope and healing February 17 -19. The three-day, intensive weekend retreat offered spiritual, as well as psychological healing, after abortion.
The weekend was an experience of reenacting the Living Scriptures, including an exercise which encouraged the participants to ask for healing from Jesus and to touch his cloak.
Participants were invited to touch the cloak of Jesus and ask for healing from the loss, grief and pain of abortion
The exercise was based on recreating one of the miracles of Jesus in the Gospels (Luke 8:43–48) of the woman who had been bleeding for 12 years. She saw Jesus walking through a crowd and had a holy audacity to want to touch the hem of Jesus to be cured of her hemorrhaging. This and other exercises helped women to journey through the pain and to be transformed into wholeness in Christ, by unpacking repressed grief and shame from their abortions.
Thank you for your continued financial support of post-abortive healing Project Rachel Ministry at the New Life Center. Our next retreat is August 11 – 13, 2017. Contact the New Life Center at email@example.com for more information.

“Called to Mercy” New Life Center Benefit Dinner – Friday, April 21, 2017
For Americans to see the unborn for who they really are, we can recall the words of Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. from December, 1967: “The next thing we must be concerned about if we are to have peace on earth and good will toward men is the nonviolent affirmation of the sacredness of all human life. … Man is a child of God, made in His image, and therefore must be respected as such… And when we truly believe in the sacredness of human personality, we won’t exploit people, we won’t trample over people with the iron feet of oppression, we won’t kill anybody.”
Join us for an evening with Dr. Martin Luther King’s niece, Dr. Alveda King, and Pastor Walter Hoye, on Friday, April 21, 2017. Register for this free event on our website.
