“The Beautiful Sends You on Mission.”
At the Convocation of Catholic Leaders in Orlando, Florida last weekend, Bishop Robert Barron, auxiliary bishop of the Archdiocese of Los Angeles and well-known evangelizer for Word on Fire, urged us to grab the world by the shoulders and share the good news.
“There’s nothing more beautiful than the dying and rising of Jesus Christ,” he said, and the apostles in the New Testament communicate this with a “grab-you-by-the-shoulders” urgency.
It is precisely that hope in the Risen Christ that sends us on the mission of offering God’s hope and healing. It is what calls us to go out into the deep to men and women wounded by abortion and say, “Receive God’s mercy and healing and join us on an upcoming, life-changing retreat!”
