Bring donations for flood victims to the New Life Center and Ken’s Kar Kare 

Recovery and healing from the destruction of Hurricane Harvey has been an ongoing effort for residents since it slammed into the coast near Corpus Christi, Texas, August 25. Where Harvey hit hardest, including Houston, 80 percent of homeowners lack flood insurance, making them dependent on private charity and government assistance.

Drop off donations for the flood victims in Houston at Ken’s Kar Kare in Fowler, now through September 16, and at the New Life Center in Lansing, now through September 15. (NO cash donations are being accepted)

Hours for the donation drop:

  • Monday – Friday now through September 15, from 9 am – 12 pm, at the New Life Center, 1601 East Grand River, Lansing, MI 48906 and we will deliver your items to Ken’s Kar Kare by September 16.
  • Monday through Friday8 am – 5 pm, now through September 15, and Saturday, September 16, from 10 am – 3 pm to Ken’s Kar Kare, 10653 W. M-21, Fowler, MI 48835. There is a large truck trailer in the parking lot and it would be nice to fill it!

The most needed items are:

  • Baby formula
  • Baby food
  • Diapers
  • Water
  • Soap
  • Shampoo
  • Toothbrushes
  • Toothpaste
  • Deodorant
  • Feminine products
  • Socks (unopened packages)
  • Underwear(unopened packages)
  • Blankets, shoes, and clothing are extremely helpful, but gently used items only.
  • Small toys and clean stuffed animals

Pray at a gravesite of aborted children where seventeen babies were buried, November 2011 (watch the historic ceremony), after being retrieved from a garbage dumpster and given a dignified funeral. 40 others have also been laid to rest in a separate gravesite.
